Who is Susan Worsey?
Some people go through life with an ease that is almost tangible, others, despite their good health just seem to plod on. Susan is neither of these types. The day she was born into a loving family there was a problem, due to medical errors, it was found she had suffered some brain damage resulting in a form of epilepsy. From the onset of her life, she has never let her disability stand in her way. Despite her epilepsy and other medical conditions she has taken on the world and won. I first met Sue Many years ago, we attended the same school. In the years i have known her i can tell you that Sue is one tough cookie who whilst fighting above her weight, will always help out a friend, neighbour or colleagues. She is in essence, a "one off". Over the years she has suffered descrimination from those who should know better and like the rest of us suffered the slings and arrows that often befall life's journey. Sue however has never let these things stop her. As you will see from these pages, Sue leads a full life with lots of interests and many memories to look back on.
Frank Batkin, life long friend.
An addition to the above:-
Susan, despite a recent medical scare continues to go from strength to strength. She has been taken under the safe wings of several poetry groups as well as joining a Penn, Warstones and Castlecroft group on Facebook. She continues to earn the love and friendship of all those who know her. Recently one of her poems was selected by Sainsbury's as part of their Christmas campaign. She has also attended a get together of her Facebook friends on the Penn, Warstone's and Castlecroft group.
Susan recently underwnt surgery to replace a knee, she is going from strength to strength and henceforth will be known as the "Bionic woman". I just do not know how she copes with the ills that fate puts upon her.

The Visitor
Like an Angel, you heard my plea,
You came and listened, I wasn't alone anymore.
You let me cry when the pain of the past was too much to bear.
You made me strong so I could walk tall,
No more sorrow, no more tears.
Like an Angel, you heard, you saw my pain,
You soothed my tears, made me smile again.

Mom and Dad in 1949 outside in Raynor road.
Their wedding day
I've been told: 'you don't remember the '50's', my reply to that is I not only remember the '50's, I lived through them and the glorious '60's.
I was born 25th October, 1950 to my late parents, James & Aileen Worsey. (Photo left)
At the time of my birth, my mom was told I wouldn't live long as I had, through forceps delivery, slight brain damage & was asked to name me for baptism. But here I am 60 years later relating my beginnings on my own website.
Because of the slight brain damage, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, a condition that has remained with me all my life.

Merridale flats
My parents and I lived at 14 Raynor Road, Fallings Park until I started school. Then we moved to Merridale Court, Merridale Road (by Bantock Park) a photo of where we lived is included along side.
Merridale Court was built by A.F.R. Godfrey (a building firm my Father worked for for many years until it folded in the late '70's). As dad was an employee, he had first choice picking Flat 125 on the ground floor for us to live. You may just see a pram outside our flat, that would be my younger brother's as he was a baby at the time.
